Privacy Policy

Effective July 29, 2026 · be here for iOS

The short version

be here has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. There is nowhere for data about you to reach us, so none of it is collected, stored or sold.

What lives on your phone

What travels between phones

What you deliberately share — posts, your profile, wall messages, group and private messages — travels by Bluetooth directly between phones near you, relayed onward by other phones running be here. Phones in between carry private messages without being able to read them. Public posts are signed, and readable by anyone whose phone carries them.

Because posts travel from phone to phone by radio, they cannot be unsent.

What we collect

Nothing. No analytics, no crash reporting that phones home, no advertising identifiers, no tracking of any kind. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected."

Blocking and reporting

You can block anyone; their content stops being shown by your phone. To report abusive content, use the report option in the app or email us — every post is cryptographically signed, so a forwarded report is verifiable.

Children

be here is not directed at children under 13, and the App Store age rating reflects that user-generated content on a local mesh is unmoderated by design.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version ships with the app update that changes it. Questions: joey@emailjoey.com.
