Terms of use

Last updated 3 August 2026. Agreeing to these terms is required before be here will run.

You must be 18 or older

be here is rated 18+. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

No tolerance for objectionable content

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content. Do not post, send or relay anything that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that sexualises a minor. Do not impersonate anyone. Do not post another person's private information.

No tolerance for abusive users

There is zero tolerance for abusive users. Anyone who posts objectionable content loses the right to use be here, and reported identities are barred permanently.

What the app filters

Photos are checked on your device with Apple's sensitive-content analysis. Text is checked against a list of slurs and explicit terms. The app refuses to send what it catches, and hides what reaches it from software that did not check. No filter catches everything, which is why the tools below exist.

Reporting, blocking and removing

Every post, private message, wall entry and profile has a report action and a block action. Reporting removes the content from your feed immediately and composes an email to us with a signed copy attached, so the quote can be verified rather than taken on trust. Blocking stops that person being shown or carried by your phone, and is undone in the Me tab.

How reports are handled

Reports go to joey@emailjoey.com and are acted on within 24 hours. Offending content is removed and the identity that sent it is ejected.

What this app cannot do

be here has no server. What you post is carried by the phones around you and onward from theirs. You can remove anything from your own feed at any moment, and nothing you do reaches the copies other phones already hold. Post accordingly.

The rest

be here is provided as is, without warranty. We are not liable for content other people write; they are. We may change these terms, and material changes require agreement again before the app will run.
